Congratulations to Dream Street Caterers as they
completed their undefeated season.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
REGISTRATION:
Age- 9 years
old as of 4/30/2010
Cost- $120.00
SEASON:
The season
typically starts in late March and runs through early June.
GAMES:
Each team
plays a 16 game season. No make up games due to rain outs
(min of 12 games should be played)
Games played during the week start at
5:45 PM. You should arrive at 5:15pm.
Games played
on week-end will be scheduled at times ranging from 8:30AM
to 5:30PM.
Game length
is typically 1-1/2 hours and can go no longer than two
hours, and consist of 6 innings.
PRACTICE:
Will be
determined by the Manager.
UNIFORMS:
EMLL provides
a T-shirt, pants, cap and hat.
Parents will
be responsible for rubber cleats and an athletic supporter
cup.
PLAYING
EQUIPMENT:
Parents must
provide glove and bat. Helmets and Catchers gear will be
supplied by EMLL.
TEAM:
Teams usually
consist of 12-14 players, a volunteer manager, two volunteer
coaches, and a volunteer team parent.
Anyone
expressing interest in managing or coaching should contact
the Player Agents. You must complete the volunteer form.
There will be a draft for 9 year olds to assist in
the creation of competitive teams throughout the division
PHILOSOPHY:
To continue
to teach the basic fundamentals of baseball and to have FUN
playing a team sport. Pitching will be used throughout
the season with specific rules to protect the development of
the players throwing arms.
